Disney World Resort Parking for UK Guests

You may have heard that Disney World have started charging for overnight parking at their resorts but don’t be alarmed if you are travelling from the UK or Ireland as Resort Parking will be until 31st December 2019.

After this date, overnight parking charges are as follows…

Disney Value Resorts – $13 per night

Disney Moderate Resorts – $19 per night

Disney Deluxe Villas – $24 per night

Disney Deluxe Resorts – $24 per night

Are there any exceptions?

Disabled Guests – Overnight Parking will be Complimentary for Disabled Guests.

Disney Vacation Club – DVC Members (Disney’s Timeshare program) will not have to pay overnight resort parking charges (Regardless if the resort room/villa was booked with DVC Points or Cash).

Disney Fort Wilderness Resort – If you’re staying at the Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort you will get one free parking space for the duration of your stay.

Why have Disney Started Charging for Parking?…

Non-guests were abusing the system by parking at Resorts for Free and then catching the Magical Express to travel to Disney’s Theme Parks (this was a loophole to avoid paying the daily parking fee at the Disney Theme Parks) due to this Disney had to take action and charge for resort parking.

Do the Parking Charges include tax?…

Yes.

I have a Resort Restaurant Reservation, do I need to pay for parking?…

Parking Complimentary for guests visiting the resort to dine or shop (excludes overnight parking)

My Friends/Relatives are staying at a Disney Resort, do I have to pay for parking to visit them?…

Parking is complimentary for non-resort guests visiting guests (excludes overnight parking)

How do I pay for Parking?…

 When you arrive at your Disney resort your vehicle will be registered by a cast member and the parking fees will be charged to your room.

I’m not from the UK or Ireland but made my resort reservation before the 21st March 2018 do I still have to pay for parking?…

No, just inform the resort staff that you booked before 21st March 2018 and the parking fees will be waved.

We are a large family staying at a Disney Villa or Family Suite, do we have to pay for overnight parking for every car we bring?…

Yes, parking fees are charged per vehicle.

Do Resort Guests still get free parking at Disney Theme Parks and Water-parks?…

Yes (unless you are staying at The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin or Disney Springs Resort Hotels).

Will UK and Ireland Guests get a discounted parking after 31st December 2019…

Disney World currently have no plans to offer discounted parking to UK and Ireland Guests after 31st December 2019.
