Learn to draw Disney characters with free art classes
There used to be a greater scope for art classes at the Hollywood Studios before it was redesigned to fit in the new Star Wars Launch Pad. Yet there are still art classes on a reduced basis.
There are now two ways to have classes on how to draw Disney animated characters. With the first option there is a small charge to get classes at Disney Quest. Instead there is the second option for free drawing sessions three times a day at 11 am, 2 pm and 5 pm given at the Art of Animation Resort.
Going to one of these art lessons provides more fun for the family, and you may even want to keep all of your drawings either to admire, or to have a laugh at later on.
Visit Epcot for Free Concerts
Some of the concerts are available at Epcot all year round while others are put on as special events for the holidays. You can check nearer the time of your stay for a more detailed line up of musical events and who these feature in concert.
Free concerts include the Flower Power concerts, the Sounds like Summer series as well as the Candlelight Processional.

This is a really good parade especially if you like retro lighting arrangements. The best displays can be viewed at the Seven Seas Lagoon and also Bay Lake. Featured in the show are floats of the American flag, a dancing octopus (yes you read that right) not to mention a dragon. This pageant sets off from the Grand Floridian / Polynesian at 9.00 pm every evening and ends up at the Wildermess Lodge and close to Fort Wildermess.
Daily Cinderella Promenade at the Grand Floridian
This free Princess promenade is for children aged 3 to 12 once a day at 3.30 pm. Children get to walk along with Cinderella and talk to her. This can get busy so it is a good idea to go to the M Mouse Merchantille a few minutes early and wait there.
Free Birthday desserts – these are available at Disney World restaurants
If you are eating out on your birthday or another special just let them know and you will be served a free dessert. Sometimes you be offered a champagne toast instead of a dessert, both options are enjoyable.
Free Transportation cards
You can ask for a free card after using the boats, buses or monorail at Disney World. Just ask a member of staff to check if these are available.
Free Timon & Pumba safety cards – there are 22 cards to collect in every set
These cards are also educational as they raise awareness of health and safety issues.
Get a free Meet and Great Character – they are free for Disney visa cardholders whenever you make a purchase from Epcot Innovations. Generally the free photo cards are only offered out between 1 pm to 7 pm just ask if that is the case when you get there.
Wildermess Explorers stickers
These stickers are part of a scavenger hunt while kids are in the Wildermess Explore area of the Animal Kingdom.
Free Mickey Mouse / DVC stickers
Just about all of the crew members in Disney World will have Mickey Mouse stickers on them, take one whenever offered them.
Duffy / Agent P coloring characters free
This is an offer worth taking if you have younger children, they get a character each and coloring it in will certainly keep them busy while you are in Epcot. Each station offers a different character, so visit all of the station and your children can complete the whole set.
Perhaps that should go near the top of the list, almost as basic as finding food and drink. Plus you can go on to Disney sites or apps and keep searching for more freebies and special discounts only available online. The Disney Wifi has got faster in recent years, so you can save your own data and go through all of the interactive parts in each resort.
