People always wonder how busy the Halloween Horror Nights is at night. This usually varies with some nights being busier than others. For instance, the nights of 20th September and October 25th to 27th are some of the most crowded nights whereas September 6th to 8th and then again on 12th and 13th are the least crowded. Every Saturday is always busy and Wednesdays are the least crowded. There also tend to be fewer people during the first 2 weeks of the event.

Diagon Alley

Another common question is whether Diagon alley will be open during this year’s event. Universal Studios has not given any formal communication about that but it is expected to be open. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter has been open during the events of the last four years creating an opportunity for people to have fun while checking out the Wizarding shops or riding Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts.

2019’s Theme

The theme for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights will be from the 1980s. It is expected to bring some of the “Biggest Frights” of that era. Stranger Things is expected to be the theme but not all haunted houses will showcase it.

Haunted Houses

With 10 Haunted Houses and 5 Scare Zones, this year’s event will be the largest. The number of live shows is yet to be confirmed. The event isn’t just suitable for those who like horror movies. Even those who don’t like horror can still have a good time at the event, thanks to the wide variety of shows available to keep everyone entertained.

Haunted houses are usually the main attraction at the Halloween Horror Nights. They are uniquely designed with special effects to give the authentic scary effect. You should, therefore, expect loud music, narrow passages, mirror effects, air bursts and a wide range of props and decorations. This year’s haunted houses include 5 originals and 5 intellectual properties. Some of them include Stranger Things which was considered the biggest hit from the event last year and is expected to cover 2 seasons of the Netflix show as well as Nightingales: Blood Pit which is based on the early days of ancient Rome. Universal Monsters is also available together with Depths of Fear that get their inspirations from Universal Studios Hollywood’s Universal Monsters and Bioshock, the Depths and Allen respectively.

Yeti and Ghostbusters are other haunted houses available, together with killer clowns from outer space. Others include Us, Graveyard Games and House of 1,000 corpses.

Scare zones are also available for those who prefer them. They include Vanity Ball, Zombie Land Double Tap and Vikings Undead. Each of these presents different forms of shows but they all have bloodlust in them. Zombie Land, for instance, involves “Bloodthirsty Zombies” who want your blood while Vikings Undead involves Vikings who have overtaken central park and aren’t afraid to spill blood to keep it. Anarch-cade and Rob Zombie are also additional scare zones.

Live Stage shows

Live shows that can only be described as unique and outrageous also form part of Halloween Horror Nights. The shows give you a chance to sit down and relax as you laugh your lungs out. Expect the Academy of Villains to put up jaw-dropping performances by combining stunts, visual effects and acrobatics among others. They are expected to put up an “epic experiment of mind and body” at the Fear Factor Live stadium.

Marathon of Mayhem

2019 Halloween Horror Nights will have two shows. Cinematic Celebration will provide the infrastructure and technology for Universal Studios to give audiences a spectacular show. Water screens that are 40 feet, 100 water fountains and several lighting and projection effects are some of the infrastructures.

Terror Trivia

Terror trivia is a game that was unleashed during last year’s Halloween Horror Nights in a bid to make it more bearable for people as they wait for the haunted houses. The game involves giving people questions as they wait to get ready for a haunt. The questions come up after one has chosen a maze to get into. They fall under different categories and the faster you can answer the points you can gather.

Halloween Horror Nights 2019 is set to be the best yet!
