8 Tips for Tackling Animal Kingdom
If you’re a self-professed Disney lover, then you will of course want to do your research before visiting Animal Kingdom. This magical part of the park has a lot to offer. The following are eight tips on how to maximize your experience there:
1. Do Try the Snacks
One of the best memories you will have will be of what you ate. There are so many snack carts there, you will just have to take advantage of the pickings. To research menus and prices of these treats, make sure you download the My Disney Experience app.
2. Go on a Safari in the Morning
The Kilimanjaro Safari is a very popular ride that rivals Magic Mountain for notoriety. However, the animals are more tired later in the day. Also, the lines will be longer. So to really get the most of your experience, do the safari in the morning. There is the Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail that you will want to wander down at the end of the experience.
3. Ride Expedition Everest in the Single Rider Line
This coaster ascends Animal Kingdom in search of the ever elusive Yeti. To cut down on your wait time, go through the single person line. Even if you can’t ride with a companion, you will still find this ride is well worth doing on your own.
4. Visit Friendly Characters
One of the most lovable parts of this park is the furry friends. You can check the app you uploaded above for details on how to catch your favorite characters walking around. You can also get a Times Guide at the park gates for tracking purposes.
5. Use a FastPass+ for Pandora
One of the newest attractions is Pandora: The World of AVATAR. Since it is teeming with people, we recommend grabbing a FastPass+. There are two rides here, and you will want to be able to experience them. After your rides, you can eat at Satu’li Canteen.
6. Check out a Show
After you’re tuckered out from the rides, you might want some shade. These shows provide just that. You can put your feet up and be entertained. If you’re a Disney fanatic, expect shows along the lines of Lion King and Finding Nemo.
7. Stick Around in the Evening
There is still more to experience at night. Tree of Life Awakenings is a great nighttime treat. Rivers of Light is also a beautiful show. The park really utilizes the evening time to put on some great displays while teaching patrons more about animal life.
8. Reserve your Spot at Animal Kingdom Lodge
There are plenty of places to eat in Animal Kingdom, but the restaurants at the lodge is even better. You will be able to eat to your heart’s content at Boma. This buffet has classic foods as well as African eats. If that doesn’t sound appealing to you, then you can also eat at African-Indian cuisine style Sanaa. Additionally, there is the restaurant Jiko to choose from as well.
