Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios Guide

Toy Story Land opened in summer of 2018, set in 11 acres of Disney World you can find yourself transported to Andy’s backyard and drawn into Toy Story Land. A must-see attraction for any fan, it boosts rides such as Slinky Dogs Dash, Alien Flying Saucers and Toy Story Mania. Not only that, there are opportunities to meet your favourite characters and if you’re lucky you may even spot Sarge and his army men out on patrol. Let’s look at the rides first,

Slinky Dog Dash

Stretched throughout Toy Story land is the mega coaster featuring dips, twists and turns as it wraps around the park giving you a fantastic view of everything that the land has to offer. Riders must be 97cm or taller to ride this fast-paced smooth coaster. Fast pass is recommended as it’s a popular ride and ques will build up fast. Handy info to know, Rider switch is available, children under 7 must be accompanied by someone over the age of 14 and unfortunately, expectant mothers should not ride. It is accessible although you are advised to transfer to a standard wheelchair and then into the rollercoaster car.

Alien Swirling Saucers

Buckle in and hold on as the aliens take you on a ride through space with the swirling saucers, it is a family friendly ride although riders must be 81cm or taller to ride. If you don’t do well with spinning then you may want to sit this one out, however, if you fancy a go you can grab a fast pass for this ride also. Handy info to have, Riders under the age of 7 must be accompanied by someone over the age of 14, Rider switch is available and although an accessible ride you will have to transfer from a wheelchair onto the ride.

Toy Story Mania

A 4d ride and blast shooting game suitable for all members of the family, fast pass can also be used on this ride, Handy info to have, children must be supervised at all times, anyone under the age of 7 must be accompanied by someone over the age of 14, you must transfer from your wheelchair to the ride, this ride also offers video captioning and audio description.

Something to note with these rides though is that they are classed at first tier fast pass rides, this means you can only use a fast pass on one and the other two you will have to queue up for. Best thing to do is get there as early as you can before the ques build up, this will also give you more of a chance to meet the characters as they welcome you as a new toy to the land.

Top Tip: Fast pass Slinky Dog Dash if you can, if not then try and queue from opening to 11am or after 5pm for a better chance of getting on the ride.

Offering a quick service and mobile ordering options, also some dining plans are accepted here these are the 2019 dining plan, deluxe dining plan and the quick service dining plan. A quick look the menu and there’s plenty to choose from such as smoked turkey breakfast sandwich, raspberry lunch box tart and many more tasty treats.
