Escape from Gringotts…

Minimum Height- 3ft 6”/106cm

Pass below the impressive fire breathing dragon to enter Gringotts bank, with the breath-taking chandeliers and the hardworking goblins, the detailed marble lobby is certainly magical. Make your way to the vaults and take the perilous journey through passageways deep underground as you try to escape Gringotts evading villains on the way

The Hogwarts Express…

No minimum height

The Hogwarts Express connects Diagon Alley to Hogsmeade located in Universal’s Islands of Adventure, board the Express by walking through the wall located between platforms 9 and 10 and be transported to Platform 9 ¾. Even the stations are true to film and books. Travelling to Hogsmeade you board the train at Kings Cross station walk through the wall and be shown to your passenger compartment. Be sure to travel back to Diagon Alley as well as the views from the train windows are different depending on which direction you are going and keep an eye out for some unexpected surprises along the way.

Ollivanders…

Located in the dark Knockturn Alley where no self-respecting witch or wizard should venture but if you do check out Borgin and Burkes, find all your dark objects here such as death eater masks and costumes and all your dark magic supplies

Magical Menagerie…

At the Magical Menagerie, you can pick up all manner of magical creatures as well as your very own wizarding pet, grab a Hippogriff, Unicorn even your very own Buckbeak.

Quality Quidditch Supplies…

You can’t play a game of Quidditch without the correct supplies so head to the Quality Quidditch Supplies and grab yourself a Quaffle, Bludger, see if you can catch an elusive Golden Snitch and if the Whomping Willow has eaten your broomstick then no need to worry it can all be brought at the Quality Quidditch Supplies

While in Diagon Alley you will find two places that you can eat one is the Leaky Cauldron and the other is Florean Fortescue’s Ice- Cream Parlour…

Leaky Cauldron…

Serves traditional British food such as fish and chips, cottage pie, bangers and mash and it’s also one of the places you can get your hands on a frothy butterbeer

Throughout Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade you can find six different types of butterbeer products Frozen butterbeer, Cold butterbeer, Hot Butterbeer (only available in the winter months), Clotted cream butterbeer which is like pudding and Butterbeer Fudge. Butterbeer will cost you between $6 and $12.

Florean Fortescue’s Ice Cream Parlour…

Arrive in the morning and you can grab breakfast here choosing from continental, pastries, Pumpkin Juice and a variety of teas, however during the day you won’t find any of your boring flavours such as vanilla or strawberry, you can find items such as apple crumble, sticky toffee pudding and more. You can get Butterbeer ice cream here.

So, you have all your school supplies, you have escaped from Gringotts now its time to board the Hogwarts Express and head for Hogsmeade…

Hogsmeade is located on Universals Island of Adventures and its also the place where you will find Hogwarts itself, eat at The Three Broomsticks and soar over the castle on the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride.

Rides at Hogsmeade…

Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey

Minimum Height- 4ft/122cm

This thrilling adventure takes you on a journey through the classrooms and corridors of Hogwarts, takes you flying over Hogwarts on a broomstick accompanied by Harry and friends. Takes you to iconic locations from the movies and brings you face to face with some magical creatures.

Flight of the Hippogriff…

Minimum height- 3ft/92cm

This one is a family rollercoaster modelled around the majestic Buckbeak. You start off at Hagrid’s hut before taking a training flight over the pumpkin patch but whatever you do don’t forget to bow as you approach the Hippogriff.

Dervish and Banges…

They sell all sorts of magical supplies and very multi-functional shop you can pick up Quidditch equipment, Hogwarts uniforms and even your very own Monster Book of Monsters.

Filch’s Emporium of Confiscated Items…

Find yourself some movie prop replicas, themed chess sets and clothing. This is also where you can purchase your photo from your ride on Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey.

HoneyDukes…

Probably one of the most well-known shops in the magical universe. There’s not a muggle or wizard alike that hasn’t heard of Honeydukes. Here you can pick up Acid pops, Chocolate Frogs, Bertie Botts Every Flavoured Beans and many many more.

Ollivanders…

Unlike the Ollivanders in Diagon Alley, the one in Hogsmeade has a special ceremony for a few select visitors, a few lucky guests will get to try out some magical spells until a wand chooses them.  There’s also a wide range of wands to choose from.

The Owl Post…

Send a letter from the owl post with a special Hogsmeade postmark, also pick up stationary and lots and lots of owl related items here.

Traditional British classics as well as American favourites with a speciality “Great Feast Platter”. Save room for the fabulous desserts though including peanut butter ice cream and chocolate trifle

As you all know The Hogs Head was the secret meeting place of Dumbledore’s Army. Raise your glass of Butterbeer or Pumpkin Juice to the truly spellbinding Dumbledore.

Now you have visited Hogsmeade, seen the light show over Hogwarts remember to catch a ride on the train back to Diagon Alley as the view on the way back is different. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is truly a magical and impressive place even if you aren’t a die-hard fan there’s still plenty to take in and do.
